If Wrigley Field were a ball club it would be the Yankees. Tradition-rich yet current; much imitated but never duplicated. This brick-walled, ivy-tangled lair of the leather-lunged Bleacher Bum and the sunken-chested Cubs is a North Side must-see. In recent years the suburb stadium has fallen out of favor and there has been a revival of the urban ballyard. But don’t be fooled by facsimiles, the Friendly Confines still rises head and Big Shoulders above the pretenders.
