For a night that is truly out-of-the ordinary, try attending a California Bach Society concert. Often held in venerable churches around the Bay Area, the Bach chorus will wrap you in baroque music. The Bach Society’s 1999-2000 season includes the Victoria Requiem, a set of Monteverdi Vespers, and Bach’s Ascension Oratorio.
