Good comedy always has a bite to it. The bite of black comedy, however, is likely to give you rabies. Some find these films to be too violent and too bitter to be funny, but those who have developed a taste for movies like Fargo can never go back to Three’s Company again. Though this is a film genre that’s become more mainstream in recent years, you can still dig up rare gems of deviant humor here and there that might not be in a cynical recipient’s collection.
