Hopefully, they’ll never need to use it, but just in case…the American Red Cross provides free courses in CPR and first aid for children and adults. They also have babysitter training and Pet First Aid booklets. Held throughout the Bay Area, these classes certify your recipient in live-saving techniques – especially helpful if the person lives with a child, elderly person, or someone in declining health. Dislike giving a free gift? Throw in a donation to the Red Cross for all their good work.
