One of the niftiest gadgets they came up with for the space program was this gleaming metal pen, whose ink cartridge is pressurized to allow it to write in zero gravity. On Earth it will write upside-down, underwater, over grease, on glossy photos, and in extreme temperatures. The cartridge is so tightly sealed that the ink will not leak or dry out for a hundred years. Granted, a pencil would have done the same job more cheaply, but no fan of the astronaut corps can go without this chrome beauty...
