Zebra Scarf
What it is: A knitted, children's scarf, modelled after the stripiest member of the animal kingdom, the zebra,
Why we love it: Childhood is a time when the strange, the fantastical and the improbable seem entirely possible. It's a given that the world of adults isn't all there is, and that there is more in heaven and earth than is dreamt of in their parents' philosophy. Of course, the tooth fairy comes through the window at night, of course the monsters under the bed can be vanquished with a flashlight, of course zebras make the best scarves. As adults, we have a certain duty to indulge the fantasy world of children for as long as it lasts; and it can be the little things, like a knitted scarf that bears a striking resemblance to a zebra, that do the most to keep the world filled with just a hint of the bizarre. This charmingly knitted scarf, available also as an elephant, will make getting dressed up in tedious winter clothes into something more fun, and whatever fun we can bring to the doldrums of winter will definitely be appreciated by the children in our life. If you want to give it to an adult, or maybe even keep one yourself, don't worry, we won't tell.
Who we'd give it to: Kids, children, tots, wee ones, littles, etc.
Where to get it: From RISD for a fantabulous $76.00
