Cool Gift of the Day

What it is:
Twelve simple, unlined journals, for a year's worth of thoughts and dreams.
Why we love it:
There are certain ideas that are easy to express with a gift. There are literally thousands of gifts that say, "thank you," "I'm sorry," or "I love you," often printed right on the thing itself, but saying something like, "be inspired," or "explore" isn't nearly as easy. This is what we love about this gift, which isn't so much the gift of a thing (though it is a thing, and a nice one) as it is a gift of inspiration and encouragement. Tied up in a bow, these 12 journals represent 12 months of blank pages waiting to be filled. It's one year of white paper, one year of open possibilities, one year waiting to be expressed in words and drawings. Each journal has 80 pages, and is punched in the corner to note the month (one punch for January, two for February, etc) so they can keep track of all their inspired thoughts over the year. It's an elegant way to express an idea that we don't see enough of these days, that our thoughts our worth putting down on paper, and our minds are worth exploring.
