Why we love it:
The world of wine-snobbery, err, wine enjoyment, can be a difficult one to break into. It seems like simple interest and love of wine isn't enough. One needs to be able to discourse intelligently on woody or fruity flavors, tannins, and other things that we here at surpirse.com honestly don't know a thing about. We like wine, we just get the impression that we're not "enjoying" it correctly. At this point, we're comfortable admitting our wine ignorance and just drinking what other people tell us to, but we know that some people would like to delve deeper into the mysteries of the vine.
