Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup
What it is: Edible wild hibiscus flowers from Australia preserved in sugar syrup.
Why we love it: These beautiful and delicious delicacies add a "wow" factor to any celebration. They are certified organic and have a naturally sweet, raspberry/rhubarb flavor. Simply place a whole hibiscus flower in the bottom of a champagne flute, pour some of the crimson syrup in on top and then fill up with champagne. The bubbles stream off and open up the flower and the champagne graduates from crimson at the bottom to light pink at the top. Really spectacular! Comes in a jar of 11 hibiscus flowers or a party pack size of 50 flowers. Each comes with an 8-page cocktail guide on the lid.
Who we'd give it to: Foodies and party hosts looking for something unusual to serve at their next dinner party or special occasion.
Where to get it: From Amazon.com starting at a gourmet $11.00.
