Vinyl Cds
What it is: Blank CDs to use for burning mixes that have a retro vinyl look, complete with grooves.
Why we love it: Look, we'll be honest with you, we're MP3 listeners. We get most of our music in digital form, and on the rare occasion that we do buy a CD, we immediately rip the songs and load them up on our MP3 player. We remember tapes, 8-tracks and vinyl, we just don't care. We've moved on to the digital age, man. We recognize, however, that others are still trapped in the past, lovingly caring for their turntable and albums. If you know one of these anachronistic music lovers, here's a little something that can bring them, if not into the 21st century, then at least into the late nineties. These blank CDs are styled to look just like miniature versions of their favorite vinyl records, complete with grooves. These vinyl CDs may not have the same "warm sound" that they're always waxing on about, but they're much less likely to get worn out or skip, and you don't have to flip them in the middle. It's a little bit of old meets new for the technology resistant, next we'll work on an MP3 player that looks like a phonograph.
Who we'd give it to: Vinyl freaks, musicians, audiophiles, retro lovers.
Where to get it: From Amazon.com for a vintage style $6.99 for 10.
