Cool Gift of the Day

What it is:
Fish make great workplace companions. They brighten up your desk, give you something to look at when you're zoned out at the end of the day and you can pretend they're happy to see you when you get in to work. Not everyone is up for the challenge of fish ownership though, and it's for those people that the USB Aquarium was invented. The mini cyber-aquarium plugs right into your PC and draws just enough power to run the tiny motor that creates a current for the two life-like little fish use to swim back and forth in the water. Sure, a real fish doesn't require much more than a few pellets of food a day, but we all know someone who probably couldn't manage that level of care. If they've managed to kill every plant (even the cactus) that you've given them and their last pet was a hamster in eighth grade then a pair of computer-powered fish is probably just their speed. We're even thinking about getting one for our office, but it might make Buddy the Surprise.com dog jealous.
Why we love it:
The little fish truly are mezmerizing and you will absolutely never find them floating belly up in their tank.
Who we'd give it to:
The newly employed, people who are bad with pets, office drones, people with an unusued USB port.
Where to get it:
