Why we love it:
Everybody has them. You're at a party, there's a lull in the conversation and you can be sure, someone will trot one out. They're a conversational mainsta, little random pieces of information that no one has, in the history of parties, actually verified. Items on the subject of food, politics, religion, science, any every other possible topic, why, there are
whole websites dedicated to proving or disproving these legends. Any party host has heard dozens of them, from the classics, to whatever dubious bits of information are being passed around in email this week. If you know someone with a certain dogged or perhaps even pedantic dedication to the truth, they may enjoy playing, and challenging others to a game of Urban Myth, a unique card game that challenges you to sort fact from
factoid and prove once and for all whether dogs can look up or if pirates really made their victims walk the plank. It's a game that gives you a chance to pit truth against
truthiness and see which one reigns supreme.
