What it is:
A humorous self-help guide that challenges the stressed and overextended to "underachieve" and enjoy life more.
Why we love it:
As the full title of the book suggests, "The Underachiever's Manifesto: The Guide to Accomplishing Little and Feeling Great", this lighthearted guide extols the benefits of underachievement in our overextended society. It urges us to lower the bar, turn it down a notch and get off the Stairmaster. Although this book may seem like a parody, its central message is something we could all take to heart. Instead of running yourself ragged chasing soccer games or keeping up with the "Joneses", unplug, relax and take time to not cut the grass.
Where to get it:
From
Amazon for a laid-back $9.95.
