The Pi Dish
What it is: A glazed stoneware baking pan with the first few dozen digits of the Pi ratio trimming the rim.
Why we love it: Pi: The ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Pie: A baked food composed of a pastry shell filled with fruit, meat, cheese, or other ingredients, and usually covered with a pastry crust. Who would have ever thought of combining these two together? This clever little pi(e) dish is sure to be a hit with the mathematically inclined!
Who we'd give it to: A Math or Computer Geek who loves to bake.
Where to get it: From whatonearthcatalog.com for a rational $24.95.
