Cool Gift of the Day

What it is:
Look, up in the sky! It's a screwdriver! It's a file! It's SuperPen! Yes, that's right ladies and gentleman, a Swiss Army Pen. Why settle for giving someone a pen that does only one thing? This handy gadget writes, to be sure, but it also files, shines, cuts, screws, and unscrews. The special pressurized ink cartridge even allows you to write upside-down (though what you'd need to write while hanging upside-down is anybody's guess). Okay, it's true that this pen is unlikely to fly in and save Lois Lane from a gruesome fate, but it is awfully handy. Pens are a classic gift for all manner of milestones, and while we do believe in these gift-giving traditions we also believe in turning them on their ear a bit. The Swiss Pen is a great way to give tradition a nod but still give a gift that's unexpected and truly useful. After all, one never knows when a pair of very tiny scissors will come in handy.
Why we love it:
We can't count the number of times we've needed really tiny scissors. Seriously.
Who we'd give it to:
Grads, retirees, engineers, gadget lovers, people with really tiny loose threads.
