Why we love it:
We are of the opinion that the everyday does not have to be mundane. We try, with our humble daily messages, to remind all of you out there that just because an object could be perfectly ordinary that doesn't mean it
should be. We've spoken out in favor of
unusual desk clocks,
strange salt and pepper shakers,
wacky lamps and
bizarre alarm clocks on many occasions, and shall continue to do so. Next in our line of extraordinary ordinary things is this charming bouquet of spices. No, we're not commenting on the smell, though we're sure it's lovely, it's the charming shape of this most unusual spice "rack" that caught our eye. The spice containers are reminiscent of blooms on long, elegant stems, kept together in a vase. In case you have trouble remembering which flower is which, the name of each spice is written in nine different languages on the lid, so you're pretty well covered. Beyond being a convenient way to store spices, this garden of flavor is a charming addition to any kitchen, and sure to charm even the most blasé of chefs.
