Spatulatta Cookbook
What it is: A creative and colorful kids' cookbook written by two young sisters.
Why we love it: This fabulous cookbook outshines the typical "kid" cookbook in so many ways. First, it's colorful format, filled with tons of photos and visual aids, make both kids and adults want to read it. Written by two adorable tween sisters, the cookbook is organized by season and focuses on using fresh produce to create healthy recipes that the whole family would enjoy. The sisters also host a "cooking 4 kids" website, www.spatulatta.com. Their website won a 2006 James Beard Award, which is the equivalent of an Oscar in the culinary world. Not bad!
Who we'd give it to: This award-winning cookbook will delight both late elementary school age kids and tweens who like to cook or want to learn to cook.
Where to get it: From Amazon.com for a yummy $11.55.
