What it is:
A, well, simply stunning pendant necklace based on the upcoming Snakes on a Plane film.
Why we love it:
By now, even the rest of the world has heard about the film that the internet savvy have been trading jokes about for months. The bizarrely anticipated Snakes on a Plane may be one of the biggest pre-release phenomena since The Blair Witch Project. There will, we all understand by now, be snakes. These snakes will, as the title suggests, be on a plane. Samuel L. Jackson will also be on the plane, presumably chasing snakes and being a bad mother- Shut yo mouth! There is, in preparation for this media event, a veritable orgy of products, all hoping to cash in on the Snakes cache. Our very favorite of the lot is this signature dog tag, designed by Kathie Takowsky, one of the actors from said same film. For the pop-culture obsessed, there can be no more perfect representation of the excesses of movie marketing than this, not to mention the snakes and plane pendant is pretty fancy in it's own right. The price tag is a little hefty for a novelty item (but nothing compared to the $3,900 diamond and gold version), but hey, isn't that what excesses are all about?
