What it is:
A snap-together customizable desktop rollercoaster for marbles.
Why we love it:
There's nothing like a good old-fashioned rollercoaster. Feeling your stomach drop out through your feet and then jump up into your mouth as you go flying around the twists, turns, curves and loops, then stumbling dizzily off to recover your equilibrium before doing it all over again. Sadly, the daily grind leaves little time for riding rollercoasters, and though you might like to take your friend out to the amusement park for a well-deserved break, sometimes it's not meant to be. If you can't bring them to the amusement park, why not bring the amusement park to them? At least, the rollercoaster, albeit on a much smaller scale. The rollerscape is a completely customizable, desktop rollercoaster with a marble for a passenger. Just snap the pieces together into whatever configuration you please and watch it go. Some configurations may work better than others, and some may end with your friend crawling around on their hands and knees trying to find the missing marble, but that's all part of the fun. It isn't quite a trip to the amusement park, but it is a break in a dreary or overly busy day, a way to make their desk a bit more exciting on a long afternoon. That's something everyone could use.
Who we'd give it to:
Rollercoaster fans, bored office workers, daydreamers, engineers.
