Plush Microbes
What it is: Cute cuddly plush versions of common germs and bugs, blown up to huggable size.
Why we love it: Give the gift that keeps on giving, Streptococcus! Okay, the real Streptococcus, otherwise known as strep throat, wouldn't be a very fun gift, but thankfully there's another option. Now you can give someone strep throat in fun and cuddly form, along with a whole host of other plush microbes. For the drinker in your life there's Saccharomyces cerevisiae (that's Beer Yeast), or for your favorite bookworm there's Anobium punctatum (Yep, a bookworm for your bookworm). We've got the flu, stomach ache, bad breath, ulcers and more. For those with the more ghoulish sensibilities we even have the ultra deadly Ebola virus. Each one, from the irritating to the fatal is absolutely fluffy and adorable in giant plush form. While children are particularly fond of these cute little baddies, they make a fun gift for adults too, as a cube toy they're a great conversation starter:
"Aww, how cute, what is it?"
"Syphillis."
"O...kay."
Guaranteed to absolutely fascinate their coworkers, though we can't guarantee that they'll be fascinated in a good way.
Who we'd give it to: Anyone recovering from A Nasty Cold, Science Geeks, and curious Science Kids.
Where to get it: From Toy Wiz for a contagious $6.99
