Why we love it:
It may seem a little late in the year to give a calendar. After all, it's February, the 2006 calendars have all long since ended up in the discount bin. Every year it's another word of the day calendar, or a monthly dose of cute kittens, and hey, there's nothing wrong with that. Some of us are perfectly satisfied with our daily or monthly dose of whatever, we just want something to jot notes in and mark off birthdays. There is no reason, however, that our method of tracking the passage of days can't be something of an art piece as well. This perpetual calendar is as much geometric sculpture as it is a functional device. Carved from walnut, beech, ramin and maple to create a striking contrast, the piece will track the months, dates and days of the week in perpetuity. It
doesn't give them a place to write down their Aunt Edna's birthday, but that's what
we're here for. So skip the kittens by month and go for something with a unique, stylish flair.
