Cool Gift of the Day

What it is:
A pair of children's socks that come with an extra sock, so you'll never have mismatched pairs again.
Why we love it:
It's not their fault. It's the sock-eating monster that lives under the bed, in the dryer, or in the back of their closet. No matter how hard kids try, there will always be monsters, hungry for cotton and wool knit, ready to eat their socks and leave them with a dozen singles and no pairs. If you know a kid (or the parents of a kid) who is particularly beset by sock-eating monsters, you may want to consider these charmingly fun socks. Normally we would be the last ones to recommend socks as a gift, but these Pair with a Spare socks are so cute, whimsical and fun that we think even the most difficult to please child will be won over. The brightly colored and not quite perfectly matched socks come in a set of three, so that when the sock-eating monster predictably eats one poor little sock, there's still a full set left over. Three may be destined to become two, but perhaps they'll last for a bit before they become one.
Who we'd give it to:
Kids, sock monsters (cut out the middle man), people with three feet.
