What it is:
A set of pint glasses that can be labelled with names and matched to their owners.
Why we love it:
Yep, we like wine charms. Brilliant little invention, makes keeping track of your pinot noir a breeze. Which is great, if you're at a dinner party for the genteel and well dressed, but not spectacularly helpful if you're watching football with the boys, or enjoying a backyard barbecue. I mean, it's handy to be able to tell where your glass of wine has gone, but you're more likely to mislay your beer during an exciting playoff game than to lose your chardonnay over the soup course. Cute as those little charms are, they only work for a glass with a stem, and they look suspiciously like earrings, which will not add to the general manliness of traditional man activities like burning red meat or watching guys in colorful outfits slam into each other. We suggest, then, for the manly (and thirsty) guy on your list, these pint glasses. They come printed with that iconic and immediately recognizable blue and white "Hello, my name is..." sticker seen at conventions everywhere. The set of four glasses comes with a grease pencil for easy labeling of drinks, allowing the guys a way to identify their brew without having to snap a tiny metal bunch of grapes to the bottom. It's as useful as a beer glass could be, until they invent one that refills itself.
