What it is:
Let's be honest, sometimes you just want to give someone cash. New grads on their way into the world, newlyweds starting a life together, and many others will just be better served by some cold hard cash than any doodad or keepsake you can provide. It's a great gift, always appreciated and never returned, it's just so... boring. There's not much you can do to make the actual cash more interesting, but you can put it in a more interesting package. The money maze turns a cash gift into a game for the receiver. Getting the money in is easy, but to get it back out they'll have to guide the small metal ball inside through the maze to trigger the unlocking mechanism. The whole time they're solving the puzzle they'll be tantalized by the sight of cash just out of their reach. It's harder than you'd think, and twice as much fun.
