What it is:
A talking, boogying, beeping iPod accessory that grooves to your music.
Why we love it:
Oh sure, their iPod plays music just fine, but can it dance? Sadly, iPod technology does not extend as far as boogying. The world's most popular MP3 player is utterly inanimate, much to our dismay. Fortunately we are deluged by an almost endless supply of iPod toys, like the iZ, which are nothing if not animated. Great for desktop use of the iPod, the iZ plugs in and plays music through its built-in speaker; but it's not content to simply play the music. This cheery little toy dances, lights up and even makes comments on all their favorite songs. It's like listening to music with a friend, if your friend was a tiny, glowing, twittering alien creature. If they get bored of the music in their playlist, iZ can perform his own music medleys, and his ears and "flicker" can be tweaked to create beats on the fly. He's like a personal iPod DJ, getting down, getting funky, and boogying all night long.
Who we'd give it to:
Teens, kids, DJs, people with boring desktops.
Where to get it:
