Cool Gift of the Day

What it is:
A handy device that plugs right into the plane to power your devices.
Why we love it:
Here's one of those simple objects that will, no doubt, be all over the place in time, but which makes a brilliant gift for your travel-minded buddy now, before anyone has heard of them. It's a time-saving device which will keep the frequent flier from suffering iPod and laptop withdrawals during their time in the friendly skies. How it works is simple, they trade out the chance to listen to the latest in-flight movie (always a sterling cinematic work) and plug this clever little device into the headset port instead. It draws power from the port, rather than the audio track for I Know What You Did Last Summer 6, and helpfully charges up whatever electronic devices need charging. There's a version that charges to a USB port, a special iPod charger version, a blackberry charger, and a special Gomadic cable to plug into hundreds of different ports, so they can get the charge they need for their favorite electronics.
