What it is:
An electronic, target-tagging race course game that promotes memory and math skills and gets kids moving.
Why we love it:
In this age of video games, it's nice to see a toy that engages kids and gets them off the couch and moving. Wild Planet's Hyper Dash game combines the fast-paced fun of video games with skill-based challenges that get them physically active. It consists of one electronic tagger and five different colored and numbered targets. The tagger plays pre-recorded music and calls out which targets you need to strike. There's no limit to the distance between targets. Farther targets result in more running and exercise. Hyper Dash can be played indoors or outdoors; solo, in pairs, or in teams. It has won several top toy awards from organizations such as Oppenheim Toy Portfolio and the National Parenting Center.
