What it is:
A clever modular building set made of designer images on cards.
Why we love it:
This house of cards is an endlessly moveable, changeable and rearrangeable fulfillment of every armchair architect's dream. Brightly decorated with objects from the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms these cards lock together securely in an almost limitless number of combinations. These interlocking picture cards were created by the famous Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s to put endless options into the amateur designer's hands. Every day they can create a new palace of pictures to display for their admiring fans and tear it down to start all over again the next day. It's one of those rare gifts where "some assembly required" is actually a good thing and they won't care that batteries aren't included.
