Hourglass Clock
What it is: Some people are ultra-modern, up-to-date, avant garde, and on the cutting edge, some people are old-fashioned, retro, traditional, old-school, and some people manage to walk the fine line between the two, taking the best from the old and the new. We could say that about the inventor of this clock, and we're guessing that you could say it about someone you know. If they're one of those ultra-retro-avant-old-school-modernist-traditional people, then this is the clock that must grace their desk. It's built in the shape of an hourglass, but tells time like a traditional analog clock, with the hours listed on the bottom and the minutes listed on top. It's not quite what one expects from a clock, with its sleek shape and its minutes that tick past the hand (instead of the other way around), but for some people the unexpected is the only thing that will do.
Why we love it: Gives us something to get all our cyber-archeologist friends.
Who we'd give it to: The modern, the old-fashioned, clock lovers, geeks and engineers.
Where to get it: From BB Moon for a modern, traditional, unique $29.85
