Flybrary Bookshelf

What it is: Decorative shelving that creates the illusion of "floating" books.

Why we love it: A truly original design by Satina Turner for Umbra, the Flybrary Bookshelf is a cool new way to display or organize your books while creating an additional surface. When filled, the books themselves create the "shelf". Holds up to 12 books and can be positioned horizontally or vertically. Though quite functional, this powder-coated metal bookshelf is not intended for valuable or delicate books. Hardware for wall mounting is included.

Who we'd give it to: Avid readers, design addicts, college students in dorms or small apartments, and anyone else with limited living space.
