What it is:
A set of four wine towels, charmingly decorated with quotes from W.C. Fields.
Why we love it:
Few people were quite so verbose on the subject of the drinking of spirits as W.C. Fields. He was, indeed, rather notably against the use of water for purposes other than bathing. In his book, no meal was so good as couldn't be improved by a nice bottle of wine. While we're not sure we'd quite take it to Mr. Fields' excesses, we can't deny that a little wine does improve a meal. What better to go with a nice bottle than a few of W.C.'s witticisms? This set of four wine towels are imprinted with clever quotes from the man himself, on the subject of wine and drinking. "Someone forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water" opines one of the towels. It's difficult, at times, to come up with sufficient wit to keep a dinner party or wine tasting amusing, so, when in doubt, borrow from the greats. We're sure Mr. Fields' wouldn't have minded.
