Why we love it:
There's a hilarious new dance step that's sweeping the nation, it's called the "trying to pull your iPod headset out of one ear and put your cell phone headset into the other ear at the same time, eventually dropping them both, cursing and letting it go to voicemail" mambo. It's not that much fun to perform, but it is pretty entertaining to watch. Funny as it is, you may take pity on your overly wired friend, and if you do, there's a simple enough solution to their problem. A company with the improbable name of Skull Candy makes a specialized headset that plugs into both phone and MP3 player. A controller on the cord allows the user to switch with ease between their tunes and their calls, a click of the button silences the music and picks up the call. Boring phone call? No problem, they can still listen to their music while they talk on the phone if they want thus blocking out Aunt Edna's detailed description of her bunions. The unit comes in headphone or earbud style, depending on your preference, and the music volume can be adjusted independent of the phone volume. You won't get to watch your friend do the frantic headset change dance, but cheer up, you can still watch the "oh my god which pocket did I put my cell phone in" tango.
