What it is:
A prehistoric plant that never dies, just goes into hibernation and waits for water.
Why we love it:
Some of us, let's be honest, have something of a brown thumb. Oh sure, you may be a gardening wiz with all your marigolds planted in a row, but for most people the effort of maintaining a cactus proves too taxing. Corporate drones and college students may be in need of a little greenery to brighten up their dull cubicle or cramped dorm room, but given their busy existence, it's hardly a safe bet that they'll be able to keep the poor thing alive. Fortunately, Mother Nature foresaw the existence of busy and forgetful people more than 290 million years ago, and created the Dinosaur plant. This one-of-a-kind plant has the ability to go into hibernation when it's not being watered, and come back to life within a matter of hours. No matter how many times they forget to water their little green friend, he'll always come back to life. When in hibernation, the plant curls up into a tight ball, prepared to roll to a new dorm room or cubicle, where more moisture may be available, so if all else fails, it'll make a nice gift for your recipient's more responsible neighbor.
