What it is:
A fabulous toy version of the mechanical baddies of Dr. Who fame.
Why we love it:
There are two kinds of people in the world. People who are staring at the picture next to this text wondering what the heck those are, and those who, upon seeing it, started cackling maniacally and saying "EX-TER-MIN-ATE EX-TER-MIN-ATE" like some kind of mentally deranged toaster oven. For those of you in the first group, let me explain: Many moons ago there was a television show called Dr. Who, a British show that ran for approximately 500 years (and has recently been resurrected, in fact), it was produced by the BBC and watched by roughly every geek in the known universe. On this show (which had the lowest of low budgets) there were, well, let's be honest, basically upside-down garbage cans with lights on them known as Daleks. This, that you are looking at, is a Dalek. Your geeky friend likes them. Yes, trust us. He will think it's funny, and probably start wobbling around yelling "EX-TER-MIN-ATE." These particular Dalek replicas are IR controlled, and will spin, roll forward and play a variety of different sounds that (trust us) will amuse your geeky friend.
