What it is:
Portable and collapsible mini speakers made mostly of cardboard.
Why we love it:
Buying a gift for the audiophile is nigh on impossible. They obsessively collect all the latest high-tech audio gadgets, and the stuff they crave is impossibly expensive. There's no way you can meet their high standards for excellence when it comes to audio equipment, so don't bother trying. Instead, introduce them to something ingenious, something that will tickle their fancy, if not their eardrums. In short, something clever; and the boys at ThinkGeek were kind enough to provide. These cardboard speakers are about as clever, and collapsible as can be. Made from the finest in, uh, wood pulp, these speakers fold up just as easily as the box they come in, and can be popped open anywhere for a little amplified sound. Not to mention they're more eco-friendly than your average speaker. Even if you're not buying for an audiophile, these clever little speakers make a great, portable gift. An unexpected, but certainly not unwelcome use for a little bit of cardboard.
