Batman Handbook
What it is: A personal guidebook on how to do absolutely everything that the Dark Knight can do, with step by step instructions on building your own gadgets.
Why we love it: Many of us, at one time or another, wanted to be a superhero. The trouble is, of course, it's not an easy job to get. I mean, if you happen to be an alien with superhuman strength, or if you're lucky enough to be bitten by a radioactive spider, well, you're pretty much a shoe-in, but barring something like that, the superhero club is not easy to join. That's why we've always admired Batman, who is, in fact, just a regular guy, enhanced by his own skill and determination (and millions of dollars worth of equipment, but that's neither here nor there) rather than mutant powers or a magical artifact. Batman sets the bar within reach, provided you're a multi-millionaire. Setting the bar even closer within reach, The Batman Handbook provides easy to follow instructions on topics like, "how to throw a batarang" or "how to bulletproof your batmobile". It's everything you need to know to become your own jet-setting playboy/dark avenger, except, of course, how to amass a personal fortune. We assume there will be a sequel.
Who we'd give it to: Superhero fans, dreamers, millionaire playboys
Where to get it: From Powells for a bat-bargain of $11.50
