What it is:
A new twist on the pool table, a three-decker game to put the play into high gear.
Why we love it:
We've always been a fan of pool. We;ve never been good at it, but that just means that we have more people who are willing to play with us. That being said, we're a little apprehensive about this new 3-D pool table, which challenges you to get the balls from the top to the pockets on the very bottom level. It's not that it doesn't look fun, it's just that it suggests the disturbing possiblity that we might get roundly trounced at pool not just by our friends, but by our eight-year old niece. This game shrinks pool down to a kid-size level, but adds the fun twist of a three-layer game. Strategy becomes three times as complicated as you try to maneuver the balls from level to level and finally into the pockets on the bottom. It's built at kid height, but don't be surprised if it provides quite a challenge even for moms and dads.
Who we'd give it to:
Families, future pool sharks, my 8-year old niece.
