This miniature cruising sailboat still uses the same basic sailing principles as a 50-foot sloop. A receiver lodged inside a hold in the boat translates lever motions from the transmitter into rudder positions to steer the boat left or right. The main and the jib are adjusted manually on the boat. Depending on the windspeed and how the sails are set, this boat can reach speeds of up to eight miles per hour.
